Adopt a Room Program

The Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central PA (RMHC-CP) Adopt a Room program allows you, your company or organization to help defray the cost of operating a guest room in our House for one year*. Your donation helps our organization keep families together and near the care and resources, they need as their child receives essential medical care and assures that we can continue to provide our services free of charge. Your gift provides much more than just a roof over our families heads. It helps provide support, home-cooked meals and relief from their stressful situations so they can focus on what matters most – each other.

Benefits of Adopting a Room include:

  • A plaque of recognition to display at your home, office or business

  • Recognition in newsletters, annual report and on our website

  • Recognition inside guest room

  • Recognition as an Adopt a Room participant in a common area of the RMH

By adopting a room at the Hershey Ronald McDonald House, you will directly impact the lives of families who will call the room home by eliminating many of the financial challenges that come with traveling long distances for medical care.

Please understand that donations or support do not convey any rights of ownership or control. Adopt a Room does not include event sponsorship contributions. Cornerstone Society

Members of the Cornerstone Society have made a profound impact on our guest families through a donation of at least $5,000 (for individuals) and $10,000 (for businesses/organizations), in the current year.

By becoming a member of the Cornerstone Society you can help keep families together and near the care and resources they need.

Partners in Caring

Partners in Caring contribute to the success of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central PA’s (RMHC-CP) programs through contributions of $1,000 or more annually.

Benefits of being a Partner in Caring include:

  • Invitation to VIP Reception for Partners in Caring

  • Special nametag notation at RMHC-CP’s special events

Workplace Giving and Employee Matching

Employee matching programs provide an easy way for you to give back, often deducting an amount of your choosing directly from your pay check. Popular workplace giving options include donation matching through United Way campaigns, Annual Giving Campaigns, Volunteer Support Programs, etc. Ask your employer about workplace giving options available to you.

Want to contribute but don’t have access to a matching program? Organize a fundraiser at the office such as a bake sale, dress-down day or silent auction. Simply complete our Contact Form and we’ll provide you with all the information you need to get started.

Donate Securities

When you transfer stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other publicly traded securities to RMHC of Central PA you’ll receive a tax receipt for their value and avoid paying capital gains tax. Contact your financial advisor to learn more and determine what options are available to you.
